Losses can be of numerous types and while their reasons and their extent of impact can be different, every loss impacts a person in a strong way. Losses impact one emotionally and it can take a toll on one’s well-being, socialization, and also how they present themselves to others. Some hide it, some breakdown, but all of them become vulnerable when coping with loss. Losses can be due to losing someone close to death, losing someone because of separation or distance, changes in lifestyle, relocation, and because of fights or arguments. I am very emotional and vulnerable, so when I have to deal with the loss of a loved one, I break down completely and get into a cocoon mode. It impacts me badly and depending on the severity of the loss, I take time to heal. I am very bad at coping with losses even though I try to put up a strong face I start interacting less and less and eventually cry myself out to sleep.
